The project
A small window sign like this is exactly the case where a tight cursive script actually calls for the thinnest practical tube diameter, since the loop of a lowercase "e" or "n" needs a bend radius that only 8-9mm tube can hold cleanly without pinching the glass wall. The bar wanted the coolest, simplest blue in the shop, so the piece uses bare argon/mercury with no phosphor coating rather than a brighter, more saturated sapphire blue tube — the softer glow suits a small window sign better than a storefront-scale piece.
Single continuous run, one transformer, mounted on a clear acrylic backing set a few inches off the glass for even nighttime visibility from the sidewalk.
