Argon Neon Works is a hand-bent neon sign studio. We take straight glass tubing and turn it into a piece of light that has to hang over a real storefront, glow in a real window, or hold up as a real gallery installation — not a rendering that only has to look right on a screen.
Every tube that leaves our bench was bent by hand over an open flame, filled with a real gas — neon or argon with a trace of mercury vapor — at a pressure matched to its diameter, and sealed by hand. We don’t run LED-in-a-tube “neon flex” through our shop and call it neon; if it isn’t glass, gas, and a high-voltage transformer, we don’t sell it as neon.
We publish real fabrication reference material on this site — see the gas & color reference chart, the transformer sizing calculator, and the glass-bending radius calculator below — because a designer or a shop owner who understands roughly why a given color needs a phosphor coating instead of a colored gas, or why a tight script curve needs thinner tube than a bold block letter, is someone we’d rather be quoting a real job for than explaining first principles to after the sign is already drawn.
